Texas Select YFL is the originator of the use of Tx State ID card, Military Dependent ID card, or valid U.S. Passport.
Texas Select YFL was founded in 2011 and since its inception has required the use of the forms of ID to provided a surer vetted process as to a players identity and age.
These forms of ID has become a staple requirement across Texas and the nation for most leagues and sports.
Parents, prior to signing your child with any team or organization you should first obtain a Texas State ID card at your local DPS office.
The DFW Conference is headed by John Carroll.
The conference will offer Spring and Tackle football for 2022, as well as 7v7 for Spring.
Each season is a separate season, with each its own fees. All teams are required to provide injury/liability insurance. Texas Select does offer this coverage as a member of Texas Select YFL and USA Select NYFL via its agent Wilson Sports Insurance. For teams who provide coverage purchased outside of the conference/league, you will need to provide a copy of your insurance certificate that also names Texas Select YFL and USA Select NYFL as additional insured. All insurance certificates will be verified with the carrier/agent.
Texas Select YFL is a member of USA Select NYFL and follows the rules and guidelines of USA Select NYFL. All teams wishing to join Texas Select-DFW should first contact the DFW Conference Director John Carroll for approval to proceed through the process.
If approved to proceed, the organization president/commissioner shall proceed to certify with the Safe Sport Act of 2017. All coaches and volunteers will need to comply. Here is the link: https://www.usaselect.org/coachesvolunteers
The DFW Conference Director has final say on approval of all coaches, regardless if they have passed the background check and Safe Sport Act Certification of 2017.
ONLY SAFE SPORT ACT AND BACKGROUND CHECK VIA TEXAS SELECT YFL AND USA SELECT NYFL WILL BE ACCEPTED. NO EXCEPTIONS.
